weekly wanderings: flowers and fruits

my neighborhood walks are becoming a habit that i love. my "weekly wanderings" series and my husband keep me motivated to get out and walk even on very hot days. i love slowing down to a walking pace and taking everything in. there is so much to see if only i take the time to look. this week summer fruits and blooms caught my eye.

what have you seen on your recent wanderings?

k and i happened upon an elaborate birthday picnic at the park on one of our walks and saw two hawks on another.

  1. I know you are trying to learn your flower names...the yellow ones 5 pics down are called Coreopsis or Tickseed. I have a few of those growing in my yard. Now, had you already learned that name?

  2. I can't believe how much fruit you have ripening in Kentucky. We're slow-growing up here in NYS. Strawberry season is still going strong. I'm enjoying your walks.

  3. Wishing I was on those walks with you, except for the heat.
All the pictures are so peaceful & make me feel so much more peaceful.
You really have an "eye" & also a way with words. Love the writing, but I've told you that many times before.

    Have a great week.

  4. Oh, the prefious comment was from "Phyllis".

Also can't wait to see your CSA items. Our farmer's market starts tomorrow @ the parking lot. Can't wait to see what they have.
