weekend snippets: homebody

sweet sweets.

first attempt at basket weaving.
as you can see, it's not quite a basket yet.

i've wanted to make this bread for years and finally the stars aligned.

casting on for the knit along.

afraid those 160 stitches will intimidate the new knitters in our group.

perfect for warming up on a lazy winter night.

* * *

how was your weekend? i'd love to hear about what you enjoyed.

  1. Tobogganing (I watched/knitted while my husband and many of our friends went down the track), photo editing for my shop, & a relatively lazy weekend at our friend's cottage. :]

Love your pictures :) Can't wait to see the basket and your knit-along project.

  2. This all looks lovely, esp the challa. Great work! I also enjoyed lots of cooking this weekend!

  3. Your challa looks amazing and so does the soup, thank you for the link.
I have always wanted to learn basket weaving, but never gotten to it, I look forward to seeing how yours turns out! :)

  4. your weekend looks delightful! I enjoyed letting myself off the hook while I was sick. I didn't attempt to do a single productive thing. Usually I push myself. So this time I just accepted that I was too sick to get out of bed. And I caught up on some movie watching!

  5. Looks like you've had a wonderful weekend. That bread looks delicious and so does the curry.

  6. Love that weekend! Being a homebody has it's perks, doesn't it?

  7. Oooh, what a great weekend! Thanks for sharing the recipe too!
Ours was a good weekend. Activities for the kids, basketball and acting classes, knitting and reading, a date night, and catching up with old friends. One of those just-right weekends!

  8. That curry soup looks amazing! We have had multiple weekends jam packed with action. I am hoping, longing for a weekend of peace... hopefully soon. :)

  9. i was wondering how you started or could point me into a direction of basket weaving. I want something simple, it seems like all information that i find is complex. thanks!
