We adored our getaway to Maine. The days were cloudy and rainy at times, but the fog added a touch of mystery and the rain gave us an excuse to take it easy. We spent our time strolling and then ducking into warm places for tea or coffee. We had such a cozy trip. It was the first time we've ventured to the Northeast, but I know we'll be back to see what else the region holds.

  2. We were in Maine last June, and it was one of my favorite vacations. I'm a big northeast-er (we used to rent a house on RI every summer, and I'm just generally in love with New England), and I'm glad to hear you liked your first foray!

No big travel plans for us this summer - but hopefully a weekend in RI and a weekend in the Finger Lakes will hold us over until we can both get a week off again!

  3. Man I have been wanting to try Red's Lobster Rolls forever! Your trip looked wonderful. I have not been anywhere as of late. But next year I have a couple of great places I am going to make a point of visiting. Hmm..after seeing your trip to Maine, that may have to go on my list.

  4. Isn't Maine the BEST? You captured some beautiful pictures. The scenery reminds me of the Adirondacks.

  6. I can't believe I missed these the first time around! I saw the posts before and after, but not these! I love the pics and the B&B you stayed at is adorable and very Anne of Green Gables. The only thing missing: I didn't see a pic of McDonald's selling lobster rolls (I still get a kick out of that--I have a picture of their sign advertising them). Now, I really want to go back to Maine...and PEI!

  8. Looks like you had a wonderful time! The pictures are beautiful and bring back memories.
To answer your question: Maine was the last place I went and that was back on '08! (I'm seriously in need of a little vacation!)
