What a lovely letter. It seems like working with clay is something very relaxing, with beautiful results too, I imagine. For me it's always a struggle to spend time at the computer, reading all those fantastic blogs, or spending it crafting or reading or anything else. Oh, it is just now that I see that Casey already mentioned working with clay to be relaxing. You must have explained this perfectly!
What a lovely, handmade post! Love this [handwritten note] idea :) I've been struggling with computer-retreats, too, but I can't seem to find a balance when I return. :-\ You'll have to let us know if you find a computer-balance that you recommend ;) Ceramics is definitely magical! And the wheel is something I never mastered during my class in high school. I'm so excited for you & your new discovery - enjoy it for us! I look forward to more of your beautiful notes :)
I love this post. The content but also the delivery. Can't wait to see some of your ceramic creations!
(PS: I saw this Wes Anderson inspired lookbook and thought of you---I think I remember you saying you liked Margot Tenebaum's style: http://needsupply.com/lookbook/spring-2012)
Enjoy the time away from the computer! I have never worked with clay but it looks so relaxing!

That sounds wonderful! Enjoy! I took two ceramics classes in college and loved them. I'd love to try again.
