A couple of weeks ago Liesl posted "real" things she is wishing for. The list was full of things she wants to do, people she wants to spend time with, and how she wants to feel. I think this is the best kind of wish list! And so I was inspired to make my own.
My real wish list:
Have a movie-marathon slumber party with my mom and sister.
Bake cookies and make peanut butter cups.
Go thrifting. And then go thrifting some more.
Take a hot bath with candles, bath salts, and a good book. Let the semester melt away.
Rent Northern Exposure Season 3. Watch it straight through.
Walk in the park with K.
Have a wine and cheese night with Dad.
Crochet every day.
Play in the snow.

What's on your "real" wish list?
What a great list. I think I'll put one together for myself - and see if my kids would like to make one as well. The non-material stuff is so important this time of year, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWonderful list here! I think you and I have nearly the same list (although I'll replace Northern Exposure Season 3 with Monk Season 3). Best wishes that all your dreams come true!
ReplyDeleteMy real wish list hmm.. I have quite a few
ReplyDeleteDefinitely continue thrifting for records, fabric and other neat stuff.
Read, write and paint with my kids.
Continue expanding the kids library.
Become a better knitter.
Learn to make homemade pasta.
Be better at including kids in meal preparation.
I love your list.
I love this idea. Most of my wish lists are for "out there" items, but more realistic wishes might actually be possible to achieve!
ReplyDeleteI too have a few at the moment.
ReplyDeleteMake head way on my thesis
Cross stitch my fingers off
mmmm more molasses cookies
Look stunning at my husband's office party
Bubble bath and a home spa day - mud mask, manicure, pedicure, lots of lotion and sugar scrubs.
I'd like to crochet every day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment, Allison!
Sleep in.
ReplyDeleteStay up late.
Get caught up on laundry.
Crocheting every day is going on my list.
ReplyDeleteAlso -- I want a cleaning lady in the worst possible way, so that I can have time for more important things (like crafting).
Oh, I love your list. On my list: play games and color with my little boys, knit, go thrifting, take my daughter out to lunch at the Cheesecake factory.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, Allison! Hope all of these wishes come true. (Some of mine did already!)
ReplyDeleteMy wish for you is that you could check every one of those things off and then some before the new semester starts. Merry Christmas to you Allison!
